Margot Colie is a composer, vocalist and accordionist based in Denver, Colorado and Charleston, South Carolina. Her compositional style is largely gestural and based in color, with many of her pieces focusing on specific aspects of different scenery or memories. She studied voice at Charleston School of the Arts, where she performed at Carnegie Hall and completed her thesis in composition. As the current music director and arranger of Exit 205 Acapella, she led the group to the International Competition of Collegiate Acapella Quarterfinals for the past two years with an EP soon to be released. She is also the lead singer and accordionist for folk-rock band, Rose Cold. Currently in her third year of pursuing a BM in composition at the University of Denver, she has studied with Leanna Kirchoff and Nathan Hall, and Sean Friar.
